Overview
Formnex automatically stores all form submissions as leads, giving you an organized and interactive view of your data. Each submission sent via a Formnex endpoint is treated as a unique record, accessible anytime through the Leads section of your dashboard. Whether you're reviewing responses from a contact form, support request, or newsletter signup, this section is designed to offer full transparency and control.
Formnex's lead viewer is especially powerful for developers and teams who want both high-level summaries and granular access to form data. The table view simplifies the process of scanning through dozens or even hundreds of leads, with built-in sorting and filtering for precise queries.
Accessing the Leads Dashboard
To begin working with your form submissions:
- Log into your Formnex account at formnex.com.
- In the left-hand navigation menu, click on the “Leads” tab.
- The dashboard will load all leads by default, with the most recent submissions appearing at the top.
This page serves as your central hub for form data, allowing you to monitor the health of your endpoints and understand how users are interacting with your forms.
Exploring the Leads Table
The Leads Table presents submissions in a structured format, showing the most important metadata at a glance. Each row corresponds to one submitted form. Here's what each column tells you:
- ID: A system-generated alphanumeric string that uniquely identifies the lead.
- Endpoint: The name of the endpoint where this form was submitted. Useful for projects with multiple forms or pages.
- Created At: The timestamp that records exactly when the submission was made.
- Options: This dropdown menu contains quick actions such as viewing detailed information, deleting the lead, or exporting it.
The table is responsive and supports horizontal scrolling for smaller screen sizes, ensuring that no data is truncated or hidden.
Filtering Leads by ID and Endpoint
Searching through leads is a breeze with Formnex. Whether you're troubleshooting an issue or trying to locate a specific entry, the search and filter features can help.
- Filter by ID: Type a partial or full ID into the search bar at the top of the leads list. The table will instantly show matching results.
- Filter by Endpoint: Click the “Endpoints” dropdown to see a list of all your active endpoints. Selecting one or more will limit the displayed leads to just those that match.
- Clear Filters: You can reset your view by clicking the "Clear" button, which restores the full list of leads.
Sorting the Table
Need to find the oldest submission? Or maybe you want to see all submissions from a specific endpoint grouped together? Sorting can help.
- Click on the column headers (ID, Endpoint, Date Created) to sort in ascending or descending order.
- Visual indicators (such as arrows) will show you the current sort order.
Sorting works in real-time, and your settings will persist across sessions so you can maintain your preferred layout.
Viewing Full Lead Details
Each lead stores complete form submission data. To access this information:
- Click the three-dot icon in the “Options” column next to any lead.
- Choose “View Details”.
- A full-page modal will appear, listing each form field and its corresponding value.
This detailed view includes:
- Field Names & Values: Pulled from your original form schema
- Submission Metadata: Including IP address, browser, and geolocation (if enabled)
- Associated Endpoint Info: Helpful when working with similar forms
The details view is styled for readability and scrollable for long forms.
Managing Leads
Formnex provides several options for managing your leads directly from the dashboard. You can delete, export, or even clone leads for further analysis.
Deleting Leads
Over time, your list of leads may grow significantly, especially if you're capturing high-volume form submissions. While Formnex stores leads securely, you may wish to remove old or unnecessary entries for privacy, organization, or compliance reasons.
To delete a lead:
- Click the three-dot menu on the right of the lead entry.
- Select “Delete”.
- A confirmation prompt will appear to prevent accidental removal.
- Confirm your choice, and the lead will be permanently deleted.
Note: Deleted leads cannot be recovered. If you need a backup, export the lead before deletion.
Exporting Leads
Formnex allows you to export your leads to use in:
- External databases
- Marketing automation platforms
- Analytics tools like Excel or Google Sheets
- CRM systems
To export leads:
- Click the “Export” button at the top of the table.
- Choose your desired format:

- JSON: Great for APIs, backups, or system integrations (BETA) Your file will begin downloading instantly. For large exports, the system might zip your file and notify you when it's ready.
Customizing the Table View
The table view can be tailored to your workflow. By default, the dashboard shows 10 leads per page, but you can change this to 25 or 50.
To change the view:
- Scroll to the bottom of the leads table
